    For the public

This is for any members of the public who are browsing this site, or for any dentists who missed this last ODA message. Here are some key points that Ontario dentists want people to know:
    • Yes, the provincial government is now allowing health-care providers to gradually resume all services. This means that dentists can slowly begin seeing more patients for more types of treatments again.
    • While this is good news, it doesn’t mean it’s back to business as usual or that the office is open right now.
    • There is still a pandemic happening and we’re taking extra precautions to ensure everyone’s protection against the spread of COVID-19. This could take some time, so please be patient.
    • We are currently waiting for the revised guidelines from my regulator, the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario. Before we can be ready to treat you, we must meet all updated safety requirements.
    • You can expect some changes to the office when you come in, and we’ll explain them to you when we schedule your appointment.
    • Dentists will contact you once they can safely open their practice. The health and safety of patients and the dental team is our top priority. We look forward to seeing you and your family soon.
You can read more detail here, on the ODA website
